  The staff is excellent. My family and I worked with Kaitlyn, catering manager, as we planned a large family gathering at the Pittsburgh restaurant in February 2026. She was easy to work with. She responded to all my call and emails. She helped curate the menu items, room set up and overall of the event feel. We had several dietary restrictions on top of at least half of our guests being vegetarian. On the day of our event Laitlyn was home sick but still checked in with us personally, to make sure all the final details were just the way we wanted them. Then the wait staff was excellent!! We had table service for everything. We did not want a buffet and so the day of Ms. Paus, another manager with the restaurant along with seven, and at times eight, servers made my family and friends feel like royalty. Kaitlyn even made arrangements with her general manager to be available in the morning, several hours before the dinner, to receive a delivery of our room and table decorations. The general manager, the server staff and Ms. Paus had the room completely perfect for when my family and I arrived. The food was excellent and the service was perfect. Portions were so large that many of my family members ended up taking home parts of their dinners home. The desserts were an ideal way to end a perfect dinner. I would highly recommend McCormick and Schmick’s in Pittsburgh to anyone celebrating a special occasion or enjoying a date night or to anyone who just wants a great place to enjoy great food and excellent service!! Also, one of our family members uses a wheelchair chair and he had no problems entering the restaurant or getting around the room or the space in general. I do not normally write reviews but the people were and are so great that I just needed to let others know!

  Kinda loud for a "classy" restaurant. Service was good. My wife and I got steaks and honestly, if you want a good steak go to Longhorn steakhouse over this place overall food was not worth the price we paid. It wasnt bad! But for 60$ less we coulda got better food at Longhorn.

  Waitress had an attitude, sorry we asked questions. I am on unlimited diet, prior to making the reservation we look at the menu online. Unfortunately without notice they had a limited menu for Valentine’s Day weekend. Very limited choices and there was not much for me to eat. I ordered the swordfish and it was overcooked and dried out. Portions were small and not Wirth the cost. With all the restaurants nearby downtown, they need to do better. I am not in a hurry to go back.

  Went to M&S’s for an early Valentine’s Day celebration. It was our first time there. Robin was our server. She was fantastic! Helped us navigate the menu and answered any questions we had. Was super attentive to us as well! Food was phenomenal too! We had no complaints at all, every bite was excellent!

  Visited for Pgh Restaurant Week. I had the seafood alfredo. Scallops & rock shrimp were tiny. Alfredo was awful - all I tasted was pepper and blandness. Server finally returned & offered to change the meal. New meal: the 5 stuffed shrimp had big helpings of delicious crab; the shrimp underneath were really overcooked. Friend ordered steak frites. She requested medium well but received medium rare. Worse: 3x I mentioned my allergy to the server, including my order for my replacement dinner. But it arrived with the allergen on the veggies. SMH. Server also forgot my drink, forgot to refill waters, forgot fork for friend’s dessert… & there were only 6 people in the entire dining area.
