Delicious and Addicting!! So glad CAVA made it to the city for us. It's right in the middle of PITT campus so it's very busy however, service was quick and good! The food is Soo good I went 2 times in 3 days, lol. Love the Mediterranean cuisine. Looking forward to taking my offspring to try.

Since it was our first time coming here, what really surprised us was that, except for one employee (her name is Tess), everyone seemed gloomy, and when you said something, they wouldn't respond in a way you could actually hear. It felt as if the employees here were being forced to work and weren't getting paid or something, and this really made us uncomfortable. The food was very delicious and the atmosphere was nice.

Don’t get me wrong…I love CAVA. When I would travel out east I would always make a stop. Which was why I was so excited they brought one to Pittsburgh. My experience at the Pittsburgh location has been pretty bad. We’ve gone 3 times in a row and have had similar experiences. The opening day was actually the best day…but the soda machine was broken and we already paid for a soda. So we just settled for water.
The second and third times we went the were out of about 1/4 of the items. Which…I understand…you’re new, people are trying everything, you’re still getting used to things…but the customer service was horrendous. Basically “yeah, we’re out.” The employees literally look like they hate their job.
Tonight was no different. They were out of a lot of things (we ate at 6, so I’m not sure why they were out) and the restaurant was filthy. The trashcans were overflowing, tables were messy, bathrooms were out of paper towels. Again, we ate at 6, they are literally open for another 4 hours…
It’s a bummer because CAVA is a great place. Hopefully this one improves…

This is easily the worst Cava ive ever been to. There were 3 people in front of me and we waited for about 10 minutes while 6 employees went around doing literally anything but serving people. Im not quite sure what they were doing because there was still no food at the counter, let alone fresh foos. No one checking people out. Nothing. I ended up leaving after waiting for at least 10 minutes again there were literally 3 people in front of me. Not a long line. When i left the first girl in line still had not been checked out. No way i am going back to this location.

Ordered two bowls with chicken shawarma online. Waited 20 minutes after the order was supposed to be ready until one of the employees let the dozen people waiting for their online orders know that there was no chicken shawarma left. I said subbing steak instead was fine. A few minutes pass and he comes back to let me know that actually they are also out of steak, so I switch to their normal chicken. He then comes back again several minutes later to tell me that they are also out of romaine lettuce so at this point I just tell him to throw whatever they actually have in there. Two stars instead of one because one of the employees was doing a beautiful rendition of "A Thousand Miles" by Vanessa Carlton. If you decide to go here, order in person instead of online because there was absolutely no line for the 30 minutes I was there, and then you can see what ingredients they actually have.
