Went to brunch here last weekend and sat outside on the deck it was the perfect spot to enjoy the weather. The food was delicious. We ordered the chicken and waffles, and the chicken was perfectly cooked and so crispy. We also got the Shaygel, which was huge and absolutely delicious, especially with the ribeye steak. Our waitress was so friendly, and the whole atmosphere was calm, relaxing, and perfect for a Sunday afternoon.

As someone who has worked in the service industry for years this was hands down the worst service I have ever received at an establishment. Incredibly rude and negligent staff

Very poor service. ~15 min wait time to be seated despite having a reservation and had to verbally remind staff of the written request for outside seating. After sitting for awhile, a waitress came and asked my friend and I if we had been waited on yet (does not seem like a question we should have to answer for wait staff?). The food took a very long time to come (about an hour after the actual reservation time, but doesn’t account for the time to be seated and then noticed after being seated lol). Even just the coffee creamer took 10 minutes to arrive.
The appetizer and entrees came within maybe 2 mins of each other. The whipped ricotta was not whipped at all. It resembled mashed potatoes. The flatbread was hard, more like breadsticks, and my friend and I agreed it seemed 3D printed because it just looked so beige and sad. I was really hoping it was not our appetizer when I saw the beige pile of cardboard in the waiter’s hands, but unfortunately it was. The bread also had a couple tiny bits of fuzz/lint I picked out — maybe cloth used during the baking/storage process? Absolutely not worth $17.
My entree was overall good (not amazing, but good), although the fried egg yolks were overcooked. My friend had a lot of food left on her plate and we had at least half of the appetizer left when the waitress asked if we were done, and she grabbed our plates without asking if we wanted boxes. The table next to us had the manager on demand apologizing for their experience so it was clearly not just us. The rooftop was the highlight of it, and it was very cute inside. If we weren’t on the rooftop on a sunny day, I would’ve been much hangrier from the wait time and inattentiveness/slowness of the service. It also blew my mind that they serve brunch and no iced coffee, (and hot coffee is not actually on the menu, but they did give me that, at least).
I am so confused by the influencers hyping up this place, but maybe their meals were comped. I think Benjamin Franklin would send a cease and desist at using his likeness for the artwork outside the bathrooms to remain unassociated
Definitely NOT a brunch spot! Two tips offs right from the beginning where 1) we were the only people there at 11am on Sunday and 2) they don’t serve coffee. The breakfast sandwich was ok, the blueberry French toast was bland and greasy and we didn’t eat it. Little Susie’s coffee and pies one block south saved the day with delicious hand pies and coffee.

Been to this spot multiple times and it can be so inconsistent. Great location and outdoor upstairs, but the food and service just falls flat. We dined here today and first asked to be seated upstairs outside and the hostess told us no but we were welcome to the bar. We went upstairs and saw many open tables so asked again when we got upstairs to be seated and was sat by someone else.
We ordered French onion soup, short rib grilled cheese, and shrimp wedge salad. The food took a while to come out despite it being half empty. The French onion soup was barely warm, and the bread was a slice of white roll with a small amount of a sliced cheese on top, none of which were warm. Even the exterior crock was cool to the touch. We sent it back. The grilled cheese and salad came out next. The grilled cheese was also lukewarm, with solidified cheese inside. The fries were cool and soggy. And the grilled shrimp on the salad were lukewarm. We told the waitress and she said she’d let the manager know.
We ate our food, received the bill, and asked if the manager would be over to see us. At that point, the waitress said she told the manager about our issues but she did not want to speak with us. We paid and left.
They were nice enough to remove the French onion soup, but the bill was still a starting $50 for a salad and a sandwich. Our waitress was kind and is the only reason I didn’t rate this place lower. It’s truly just unfortunate because this restaurant could be so much more, but it simply falls flat.
