So hip and elegant yet fun and cozy too, with Sam Cooke and Roy Orbison playing in the background over the cheesy monster movie clips and trailers reel on the TV (MST3K fans, this place is so for us! -- My 12yo niece and I were cracking up.) Made reservations on a chill, November Saturday afternoon, got there way ahead of time but thankfully it wasn't too crowded, and we were seated immediately. We'd pored over the menu ahead of time bc it was so hard to choose (vegans rarely get so many amazing options), and everything we ordered was phenomenal, came out perfectly timed, our waiter was so friendly and thoughtful... I just can't stop gushing over every. single. thing.
Some reviewers say it was overpriced?? That's just not true. The portions are generous! And prices are absolutely on par or cheaper than your average above-average Center City restaurant (El Vez & Charlie Was a Sinner are just up the street). And I mean, come on, Google provides menus with prices and photos that you can see ahead of time, derp.
We had the fried mac and cheese balls, exorcist fries, fried chicken caesar wrap, and buffalo wings, and I honestly can't pick my favorite except to say that, as a saucey sides/dips junkie, I was probably most impressed by the marinara, cilantro aioli, blue cheese, and caesar dressing. MY GOD I wish I could buy them all in bulk. Even the leftovers were amazing the next day.
My only regret was not ordering the beignets, and the tofu bahn mi, and the pistachio pesto pasta.. and every other thing on the menu. Cannot wait to go back.

Monster Vegan is by far the best vegan comfort food I've ever had!! Definitely not cheap, but you're paying for vegan delicious-ness. The vodka sauce pasta for dinner is one of my faves, and the chicken caesar lunch wrap is one of my other faves. Can't go wrong with anything on the menu truly. Like mac and cheez balls? Are you kidding me, they're fire.

Now this is what I’m talking about! I wish I had taken a picture of the food, but honestly, I was too busy devouring it. As a vegan of over 13 years, I’ve tasted a lot of plant-based meals, but Monster Vegan? They knocked it out of the park.
The presentation was beautiful, and the flavor? To. Die. For. This place strikes a rare balance between health and comfort, fast food and elegance, a vibe that’s hard to pull off, but they nailed it. Every bite felt indulgent and nourishing, which isn’t easy to do.
I’ve reviewed other vegan spots in Philly before (oooh, I won’t name names), but let’s just say... Monster Vegan raised the bar.
Amazing. Amazing. Amazing. I’ll definitely be back, and next time, I’ll try to pause long enough to snap a photo.

This is the best vegan place in the city!
The food and the drinks are simply amazing.
The service is top tier and the decor is hand picked. Everything is hand picked from each unique cocktail to each housemade ingredient in every menu item. The taste and texture of everything we tried was just absolutely phenomenal. I am blown away! This is going to be our new regular spot.
