  I had an excellent lunch. My server, Isabel, could not have been nicer or more attentive. I had the New England Clam Chowder and the Parmesan Flounder which was served with crisp green beans and just right mashed potatoes. The meal was served with a complimentary bread basket. Everything was delicious.

  Becky is the absolute best when we come visit at the bar. She is very nice and always quick to check up on the status of our drinks. Highly recommend

  Had dinner tonight at McCormick and Schmick's in Philadelphia. My server, Trisha, made the entire experience better. The food was good, but an experienced server who is knowledgeable and personable makes all the difference. I would highly recommend searching her out if you decide to have a meal here. She definitely provides a first class experience

  First let me say we made our reservation a month in advance. Party of three senior adults. The evening didn't get off to a great start when the hostess led us to a table all the way in the rear corner near the kitchen. The place was no more than half full and emptied out completely from that point on. When my wife asked if we could have instead an empty booth further away from the kitchen the hostess said the booth was dirty and there was no one to clean it. She then showed us to a booth that actually shared a wall with the kitchen. Tired of sparing with the hostess we took it. No only was it noisy with the clatter of dishes, but was so dark no one, not even the waitress could read the menu. We had to use the flashlight utility of our phones. In addition, the bench and table were so close together as to make it uncomfortable to sit there. Service was very slow. It took almost an hour to get our meal even though we didn't have any appetizers. The waitress was clearly in over her head and made numerous mistakes. For example, she brought the bottle of wine in late and forgot the glasses which then took some while to arrive. Everything was late, the bread, the water, and the drinks. The food was good but the service and ambience spoiled the evening. BTW the people in the next booth had a dog with them. Is that even allowed? All in all the meal was not worth the price.

  We picked this restaurant because we had had a great experience in their Chicago location few years ago. However, our experience in the Philly location was very disappointing. Our server was most likely a nice person, but he was either not trained to be a server in a steakhouse or he really didn’t care for his job. 1) he talked to us as we were kids. (We were all 50 and above) 2) he never asked how we wanted our steak done. (Medium, well done etc) 3) Collected our dishes while one person in our party was still eating. 4) Brought the check without us asking. 5)Food was really bad. If it wasn’t for my husband, I was about to call the manager to voice my disappointment but he told me to drop it. 6) i had fish. It had absolutely no taste and was cold. 7) The white wine came in room temperature. I can go on but you get the picture. We will not go back there. There are many great steakhouses in Philly and I don’t consider this place as being one of them anymore.
