I was a big fan of GCE, the previous store, so I walked in expecting to be disappointed, but I walked out very pleased! Organic valley milk, dumplings, Ben & Jerry’s pints for $5.99. Very good coffee, nice looking menu and a simple but pleasant seating area. Hooray and welcome to Good Hatch Eatery!

My family and I enjoyed breakfast at this new neighborhood spot. Featured in the picture are the pesto, egg, and tomato sandwich and hojicha latte. Both were delicious. In addition to their expansive menu, they have a small grocery section with everyday and specialty items (including Pocky and different types of ramen). We’ll definitely be back!

I’m so glad to have a solid food spot in this neighborhood. Ordered food for pickup and it was ready fast, and delicious. There is also a larger than expected stock of groceries and drinks.

Bad Hatch, Good Hatch, Red Hatch, Blue Hatch. Nope, it's not Doctor Seuss, folks, it's Doctor Schlombo again. The Good: Breakfast burrito tastes nice--fresh tasting ingredients, but suffering from a bit of burrito edema and wet ingredients. Schlombo's favorite breakfast burritos have always been heavy on the chorizo, egg, and fried potatoes, which this one was not. The size is also a bit small for $14. Still, I liked it, and only gave a small bite to my dog. The Bad: The ambience of both Good Hatch locations is just no good--or, to put it less gently, bad. The somber muzak they were playing was so sad it made Schlombo feel like he missed his MAOI that morning. Depression burrito, no siree! The Red: A bunch of mass produced red salsas in bottles is what you're offered for burrito accessories in this establishment. I'm talking Cholula, hot wing sauce, and Sriracha. I felt like I was going through the salsas in my son's minifridge at the fraternity house. He's busy studying for the MCAT for the third time, but you still ought to keep some respectable salsas at hand. The worst part is when I asked if they had house salsas, they looked at me like I was crazy! Schlombo no le gusta. The Blue: Like I said, I felt a bit blue all things considered. Like 3/5 blue, if 5/5 is feeling on top of the world like you should after eating a breakfast burrito. All in all, not a bad burrito, but some things to work out, just like you're gonna need to work out to shed the calories you just ate, unless you're on a GLP-1 agonist like Schlombo.

Excited for this addition to our neighborhood! We have tried their South Philly location but were happy to see that they included a mini grocery section in West (milk, eggs, cereal, toilet paper, snacks and more). Breakfast all day options, great for those of us who miss the 11am breakfast cutoffs at some spots. Hubby had a tasty breakfast sandwich, the “fully loaded.” I was craving wings and their hot honey were super crunchy and delicious. We will be back. Welcome to the neighborhood! Oh also! We tried the orange cardamom latte, definitely adding this to my rotation of yummy lattes within walking distance.
