I bought 4 yellow tag ( unreturnable food about to expire) all expired, so I buy 4 fresh versions of it. All expired even though it was freshly packaged. They literally just sell rotten food and it's an on going problem. They're either to cheap to fix or buy actually cooling systems and freezers or intentionally giving the community food poisoning I'm gonna let a record of terrible reviews and personal experiences get documented. Maybe a lawyer would be able to do something to them for harming the community and my GI. Time will tell, .avoid them for perishables ( and everything else is likely bad like their fruits or overpriced)

Not a good place to get fresh fish. Always have to check expiration dates. Customer service is good sometimes, but less than mediocre other times. Security likes to treat people like criminals.
Looks like acme is the place to go.

I am a frequent shopper at the Cottman Avenue location. I used the self-checkout as I often do, and I needed assistance twice at the checkout. A very pleasant young African American woman assisted me. She had very long hair and a slim build. I spent $61 and as I am pushing my cart out, my cart suddenly stopped. I thought I ran over something, so I looked down at the wheel and to my surprise and confusion, the lock activated on the wheel. The security person came out into the lobby and asked me if I had a receipt. I was extremely offended! I said of course, and I gave him my receipt. As shoppers walked past me, looking at me like I was a common thief, I was completely embarrassed. The security person had a hard time getting the lock off, then he asked me if I wanted to get another cart. I let him know that I loaded, unloaded and reloaded my cart to leave, I wasn't about to do it again, but he can do it. He finally got the lock off after about 7 minutes. As soon as I reluctantly loaded my bags in my trunk, I called the store to speak to the store manager, Patrick Ruddy. Of course he was too busy to speak to me. The person at customer service told me that it's totally random when the wheel locks, but I feel that answer was total b.s. I was targeted!! I was tempted to return all of my items and shop at Acme, but Ididn't have time. I am done with Giant on Cottman!! I will only shop at Sprouts and Acme from now on. This store is empty, dirty and most of the employees are nasty!!

After buying 4 expired meals i called the store for help. I live about an hour away and stopped in this location vs the ones near me to grab food. I called customer service and they tell me I have to call the store. I reached out to them and spoke with "Laurie" who seemed overwhelmed and uninterested in helping.
Apparently, when they sell expired food, rather than looking for it, gathering information and removing it AND REFUNDING you for it... You need to bring it all back to the store as "proof" it's bad.
To top it off "laurie" is going to "look for the manager" and i get put on hold for 22 minutes in that process.
Upon hanging up and calling back to "laurie" they let me know that the manager who has no name is "unloading a truck". Thankfully, i had the sense of mind to offer my name and phone number to her (she did not ask) since the manager (now he or she) is still unloading a truck.
At this point it's been 4 days and i still have not heard back from anyone. I managed to go to the Giant on Sproul Road (best store ever) and resolved this issue properly.
Just remember the expired food is still there. This issue wasn't solved. Nothing was done.
