Subject: Complaint Regarding Poor Service on 02/03/2026 at 10:15 AM
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing to formally raise a complaint regarding the service I received at your Dunkin store this morning.
On 02/03/2026 at approximately 10:15 AM, I paid for bacon and croissants. I waited over 10 minutes for my order while multiple customers who paid after me were served first.
After waiting about 5 minutes, I showed my receipt to the staff member who was serving and asked how long it would take. She checked the system and told me “one more minute.” I waited an additional 5mins or more minutes, during which I observed her marking orders as completed on the system. My order was later found to be marked as completed, even though it had not been handed to me.
I then approached another staff member and showed him my receipt. He checked the system and said let me speak to someone. But I saw when he was scrolling on the system my order shows as served or completed. The same staff member who initially told me she need 1 more minute for my order, she then searched around and eventually picked up a bag that had been sitting on the shelf and handed it to me. It was clear that my food had already been prepared and left unattended, and no one had paid attention to it. In fact all the staff there saw me standing, not a single person approached me and ask why I am waiting this long.
During this time, I observed 5–6 staff members in the food preparation area engaging in casual conversation, joking, and flirting, rather than focusing on customers and orders. This lack of professionalism directly impacted service quality.
When I accepted my order and said, “Thank you, I waited 10 minutes for this,” the staff member did not apologize and instead responded in a rude manner, accompanied by an unprofessional facial expression and reaction.
I have been working as an engineer in the neighboring building for over four years and have regularly visited this Dunkin location for breakfast. Unfortunately, the recent service, particularly from newer staff has been consistently unpleasant and unprofessional. After sharing today’s experience with my colleagues, several mentioned they have had similar negative experiences at this same store.
I am disappointed, as this location used to provide reliable service. I hope this feedback is taken seriously and appropriate steps are taken to improve staff professionalism, customer service, and order handling.
