I was in the Acme on 1/9/26. I purchased some ready to eat chicken that was placed under the warmer near the rotisserie chicken. Upon getting home and eating ONE piece, the SALT was UNBEARABLE! I called the deli to see if the chicken was made there or sent to the store . The deli worker ( HISPANIC) maybe , was EXTREMELY RUDE! He talked over me, yelled at me and proceeded to tell me that there was no manager on site. I wasn’t even planning on bringing the chicken back. I was just going to inform the deli to inform whomever they needed too about the salt!! The chicken tasted like a bag of SALT. I’m now going to bring the chicken back for a refund. It will probably be cheaper than me having a high bill for HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE!!! Acme needs to train the deli staff or that ONE, how to speak to the customer in the phone. He was very RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL. He was in the deli on 1/9/26 the time was 5:00 pm. Please , he needs to be REPRIMANDED. I will also post on Yelp!

I purchased a virtual gift card for a family, and when they attempted to redeem it, staff told them corporate policy did not allow virtual gift cards. The card could have been scanned, but employees and management chose not to and instead made the family put their food back and leave. When I contacted corporate directly, I was told the policy is actually that virtual gift cards must be accepted. I then called multiple other Acme locations throughout Philadelphia, and every single one confirmed they accept virtual gift cards except this location. Turning a family away from food two days before Christmas, when they had a valid gift card, based on a made up policy, is completely unacceptable. I even offered to pay over the phone and was refused. The lack of empathy shown was shocking, and blaming corporate while falsely claiming all Acme locations were following the same policy simply to make the family to leave is truly shameful. Everyone there had the ability to accept the gift card and do the right thing and they chose not to.
