The wings were very salty (I ordered spicy ranch). The pizza was ok, very greasy tho.

We had a great experience at Dee Jay’s Lounge on a Friday night. Our server, Maddie, was attentive and friendly from start to finish. She helped guide us through the menu, and her recommendations were spot on. We never had to wait for refills, and we appreciated that we didn’t feel rushed to order—but also didn’t have to wait when we were ready. The restaurant itself wasn’t as busy as expected for a Friday, which made for a really comfortable atmosphere. It wasn’t too loud, there were plenty of TV screens, and the patio looked spacious. The bar also seemed to have a great selection. For drinks, we tried the Maple Old Fashioned and the Kami Krush. The Maple Old Fashioned had a nice smoky touch and really hit the spot, but the Kami Krush was the standout—sweet, refreshing, and it honestly gave me creamsicle vibes. Highly recommend if you like sweeter drinks. For food, we ordered the Giant Pretzel, Turkey Pretzel with Lounge Fries, and a half rack of ribs with onion rings and mac and cheese. The Giant Pretzel was easily the highlight—honestly one of the best things we had and something I’d absolutely order again. The turkey sandwich was filling and well balanced, and the pretzel bun really elevated it. The Lounge fries were super cheesy and had a great texture. The ribs were some of the best I’ve had from a local spot—definitely impressed there. The onion rings were a bit soggy, and while the mac and cheese was good, it wasn’t the standout compared to everything else. Overall, a really enjoyable experience with great service, solid drinks, and some standout food items. We’ll definitely be back!

deejays! where if you walk around back your gonna find a 24 pack of IC lights ;) hate for it to be a family style restaurant and you have free access to their beer cooler!! oh and if you ask the bartenders to take a shot with you THEY WILL!

First off, I understand the psychology (negativity bias) around why people are more likely to leave bad reviews (or tell others about a negative experience) than good reviews. That said, I leave a lot of good reviews, especially when I'm impressed. When it comes to restaurants or other service industries, I also think that a "good experience" is expected (or should be). I recently moved to the area. A friend helped me unload the moving truck, we were both famished, so we decided to grab a bite to eat before I dropped him off back in the city. We pulled into this shopping center because we saw a Burgatory, Moe's, and Jersey Mikes. We noticed Dee Jays as we pulled in. Since we both like supporting local restaurants and were impressed with the lights (lol), we figured we'd give Dee Jay's Lounge a shot. Let's start with the good– Really great atmosphere, cool vibe. We sat in the side bar area and both commented how nice the space probably is in the warmer months when they open the big windows. The not so good– I ordered the buffalo chicken wrap with fries. My friend ordered the buffalo chicken salad. I wasn't counting minutes, but we waited a good while for our food to come after ordering. My food tasted good, but it was cold, especially the fries, as if it sat for a while before the server brought it out. My friend's salad was solid. He asked for blue cheese dressing instead of ranch. When we got the bill, I noticed that there was like a .75 upcharge for the substitution... Nothing says "great dining experience" like a .75 upcharge for swapping salad dressing on a $15 salad! At that point, I'm just impressed– they probably spent more money printing that on the menu and training the staff to ring it up than they'll ever make back on the dressing itself. I understand the slim profit margins for restaurants, but really? The final blow to a lackluster experience was the 10-12 minute wait for a wait staff to return to our table to take my credit card after saying she'd be right back. Again, I wish I was writing a glowing review and telling everyone that I can't wait to come back, but that honestly wasn't the case. I'm on the fence about whether I'll ever come back, but maybe I'll give them another chance at some point to win me over.
