★★★☆☆ | Decent Food, but Major Room for Improvement
This review is for Wingstop.
Starting with cleanliness: the customer-facing area is fairly clean, but the back-of-house where the food is prepared could be much better. Visible food debris on the floor (fries, crumbs, etc.) raises concerns, especially when dealing with food service. On a scale of 1–5 for cleanliness (with 5 being excellent), I would give this location a 2.5. It’s not terrible, but it does need attention.
Wait time is one of the biggest issues here. If you don’t place your order at least an hour in advance, chances are you won’t receive it on time. The wait is consistently long, to the point where it makes you question whether you even want to order, knowing how long it will take. This is something that absolutely needs to be addressed.
As for the food itself:
The wings are not bad, and I’ve never had an issue with them being undercooked or tasting “off.”
However, the fries are a consistent disappointment. Compared to Wingstop locations in New York or Philadelphia, the fries here taste old and stale almost every time. This isn’t a one-off experience — it’s consistent. Fresh fries should be dropped regularly, and old batches should not be served, especially for new orders.
Regarding flavor and seasoning:
The lemon pepper wings are one of my favorites, but at this location, they lack depth. You mostly taste lemon, without the balanced seasoning and richness you get at other Wingstop locations in New Jersey or Philadelphia.
The parmesan wings also need work — the seasoning and batter application isn’t comparable to other stores.
Hot Honey is usually amazing, but here it has the same issue: very light application, lacking the bold flavor Wingstop is known for. At other locations, you can see and taste the sauce — it’s rich and well-coated. Here, it feels like just a small drizzle.
All of this can be fixed with better consistency, proper seasoning, and attention to preparation.
Now, on a positive note — management. The manager (I believe a male, unless I was misinformed) was excellent. He was polite, informative, and took time to explain deals and ordering options. He apologized for how the store appeared and for customer concerns, and it was very clear that he genuinely wanted to improve things. I observed him actively trying to correct mistakes and address customer dissatisfaction, and that speaks volumes. That is real customer service, and it’s appreciated.
Overall, I would give this location a 3 out of 5. The food isn’t nasty, and the potential is there. The main issues are lack of flavor consistency, long wait times, and back-of-house cleanliness. With stronger execution and accountability, this location could absolutely improve and meet the Wingstop standard.
I truly hope the effort shown by management leads to real changes, because with the right adjustments, this store could be much better.
