That being said: Panera’s dependence on apps and smartphones for ordering and notifications removes accountability from the store and blows customer service to bits. We ordered breakfast items that were available on the store’s touch screen, but we had to wait for a very long time and finally ask at the kitchen window about our food order. Kaitlyn explained that the store was out of ingredients for the breakfast menu, and suggested available replacement options. She brought us replacement meals quickly and courteously and went above and beyond to make it right. That being said, Panera’s corporate leadership needs to take turns working in actual store locations to understand how the dependence on apps and customer smartphones both helps and hurts the store experience for customers and employees. My Tomato Basil BLT was delicious and the coffee was very good.

Whatever paneras system is for making sure you get your whole order needs to be changed entirely. The food I get is normally decent and I'm sure the food that I don't get would have been decent too.
