While I was waiting, the same cashier prepped my food, but was also staring at me. Not only was I worried about him doing something with my order, I also just didn’t feel comfortable. The same cashier also handed me my order, but this time demanded “next time you should tip” I probably should have talked to the manager, but unfortunately I didn’t have much time. Overall, I think the service at this 5 Guys has gone down dramatically. Not just for asking about a tip, but just the overall experience. I’ve been going for years, and this was overall just a bad taste in my mouth. I also looked at other reviews, apparently I’m not the only one that has experienced this.

Serving peanuts for free began as a way for people to pass the time while they waited for us to cook up their meals (way back in the day, before smartphones). It was such a hit, and has become such a Five Guys tradition, that we keep our stores stocked with peanuts to this day.
