My total was $50.04 and I inserted the 4 pennies first, and tried using my $50 Giant gift card for the remainder of the balance. After multiple 'bad swipes', the machine would not recognize the gift card. No problem I thought and walked over to the woman standing at the register by the exit. I explained to her what happened and she rudely gestured to me, "Hold on, I'm handling *her* now" (gesturing to another Giant employee). Silly me for thinking the customer should take precedent. After a few minutes, she came over and transferred my transaction to her register. She had to scan the $50 gift card instead of swiping it, then told me I still owed 4 cents. I said I already paid the 4 cents at the 1st self checkout register. She then throws her hands up in the air and gives me a dirty look. "Ok here's a nickel" I said in disbelief. Like, really Giant? Awful experience.

Over the past 5 years I've been slowly hating myself for shopping here but it's on my way home from work. Giant is the street game where you gotta guess which cup has the ball, but the game is rigged. Every time I think something is on sale or I see big bold letters NEW PRICE it's always a scam. The new price is for the item next to it. Or I need a digital coupon but you don't know that till you scan it. Here's my shopping experience at ShopRite. Go to kiosk and add digital coupons to my card. Pay what the price says. Wow ShopRite you've outdone giant by 20 years. Giant is a garbage run store. Try a acme or ShopRite.
