I’ve been a loyal customer of Harvest in Lancaster since the Belmont shopping center was built. It has always been my go-to restaurant — close to home, consistently good food, a farm-to-table concept I love, and a seasonal menu that keeps things interesting. I’ve recommended Harvest many times and have always had great experiences with both service and management… until this visit. We visited on 1/10/26 as a party of seven to celebrate my birthday. We ordered hummus, dumplings, cauliflower wings, and cups of butternut squash soup. Unfortunately, the cauliflower wings arrived raw and drenched in sauce. When we mentioned this to our server, she initially explained how the dish is typically served, but once I clarified that the cauliflower was actually uncooked, she was surprised and promptly took it back. The server herself was accommodating, and we understood the restaurant was very busy due to Restaurant Week. The biggest issue came with my entrée: the lamb loin served with sweet potatoes, Brussels sprouts, and pomegranate seeds, along with a glass of Riesling. On my second bite, I had to pull a hair out of my mouth that was mixed into the dish. That immediately ruined my appetite and my dinner — especially on my birthday. What made this experience truly disappointing was the lack of concern from management. A manager, who had earlier taken our drink order (without introducing himself as management), came over after the issue. His response was dismissive — simply stating the dish would be taken off the bill. There was no apology, no acknowledgment of how upsetting or embarrassing the situation was, and no attempt to accommodate or make things right beyond what should have been done automatically. I don’t want to give the Harvest brand a bad name, as this feels more like a failure of on-site management than the concept itself. However, Restaurant Week or being busy is not an excuse for poor handling of a serious issue like this. As a manager, this happened on your watch, and it should have been handled with humility and care. Unfortunately, this experience ruined my birthday dinner. The standards at this location seem to have slipped, which is very disappointing for a restaurant I once considered a cut above other chains. For now, I’ll be taking a break from this Harvest location and will no longer be recommending it.

Everything tastes so good! My wife is a celiac and they do a great job handling food allergies and had lots of gluten free options. The sesame chicken and salmon BLT were both delicious!

Nice restaurant however the food quality doesnt match its atmosphere. Food was dry, honestly overpriced and not somewhere I'd be willing to go again. You can not showcase quality while also having poor food quality.

We love Harvest in Glen Mills PA so we were really happy when we found the one in Lancaster. Unfortunately the one in Lancaster is not at all like what we remembered. We seemed to be bothering the bar tender, he just wanted to stock everything up. When we asked the manager for salt, pepper and other condiments you would have thought we were asking for her first born. The food was pretty good, though so maybe we just didn't get there at a good time.

This restaurant has delicious seasonal menu options and is well known for its farm to table food. It was easy to access as it is right off Highway 30 in Lancaster. We started off with the warm butternut squash and Asiago dip which came with sourdough toast, and pumpkin seeds sprinkled on top. So warm and delicious! Next we had the roasted butternut squash soup, which had a very interesting flavor as it was a little bit more sweet instead of being savory . Highly recommend! Finally, we had the sesame chicken, and it was some of the best I have ever had. I loved the way that they did not use any breading on the chicken. I would definitely order this dish again. I gave everything five stars, except for the atmosphere only because it was a little loud in the restaurant. It is such a large restaurant that it’s understandable because it is very popular so the tables fill up fast. Be sure and make a reservation so that you can actually be seated at a table when you want to. 😉
