Once finished, I re-entered the store to use the restroom while waiting for public transportation. Upon leaving the store afterward, I was falsely accused of not paying for my merchandise and was physically prevented from exiting by an employee. This was the same staff member who had been monitoring the self-checkout area during my transaction. The employee ran toward me in an aggressive manner, creating the impression that I was about to be physically restrained, which was extremely alarming and inappropriate. Even after I presented my receipt as proof of payment, I did not receive an apology for the false accusation or the aggressive behavior. As someone who lives with PTSD, this incident had a significant and lasting emotional impact. I am a regular customer at this location due to its convenience along my daily route; however, this experience has made me feel unwelcome and hesitant to return.
