I've been doing the grocery shopping for over 60 years & have seen some old ones go & new ones take their place. I remember the Penn Fruit & A&P of my childhood, & hated to see the local Clemmens go. ACME is still around but of the 2 in this area, 1 isn't like the ACME of the 40s-50s. We're in an area full of markets, between 2 Giants, close to an Aldis, a Wegman's, not far from Costco & BJ's in 1 direction & Sam's Club in another, a Whole Foods almost next door to a Giant, & a Redner's a few short miles away & a Sprouts in the opposite direction. Plus there's a Wies' just up the road. And there's a Weaver's Way Co-Op in town. With all these choices I mostly wind up at Giant. There choices are plentiful, & I can almost always find what I'm searching for. All these markets are clean altho there are items I can only find if I go to another store.
