  My family and I go up and down the east coast of the United States of America, looking for hoagie shops. This one was by far the best one all up and down the East Coast. I would even say Canadian hoagie shops as well.

  As of Saturday, February 14, 2026, unfortunately, Slack's is off our list of great hoagie after 15 years of good service to us. My son ordered 6 whole hoagie. When he arrived home he realized he was given 6 half hoagie. He called and the person didn't apologize for the mistake and told my son that's what he ordered and my son assured this person that he always order whole hoagie! My son went back to get the rest of his order and told this person that the hoagie were no where near as good as the ones he has been getting for 15 years and the rolls were so hard they crumbled when we bit Into them. This person, who turned out to be the owner, said nothing was different and had a completely, "I don't care" attitude. Apparently he never made the hoagies my son has been buying and that was my son"s last trip to Slack's Hoagie Shack.

  We normally are fans, but damn this place has gone downhill. And seeing so many other negative reviews, not surprised. We ordered by phone in advance. And have a bank statement from my dad’s credit card company showing we did order. But there was definitely a screw up on the employee side and we were told we never ordered…so why does our bank clearly say slack hoagies? Your company messed up and didn’t want to do anything to fix it. The manager definitely didn’t wanna do a thing. We waited almost an hour but just gave up. Slack’s, what are you doing that’s causing you to mess up this bad? Your customer service is terrible. #Slacksisslacking
