  Recently got the opportunity to dine at this place and really enjoyed the experience. Food was excellent, tastes very authentic, fresh and served as per your taste. Service takes sometime, but I would give it because they are making fresh so no concern. Overall, loved the experience and hope / pray they maintain it. Surely going back.

  Beautifully aesthetic place with a great Indian vibe. The traditional dishes were authentic and full of flavor. Service was smooth and staff were very friendly. Definitely worth visiting!

  A friend of ours suggested this restaurant, and we are so happy we came here. I had the beetroot dosa, we both tried the masala fries, everything was good . We’re definitely going to come back.

  Service: They think they serve the best food. And FULL OF ATTITUDE. One of the worst service I have seen in restaurants. Food: They used to serve some good items earlier. Not anymore. 1. Food will be salty. Almost every item will be loaded with a lot of salt. 2. Mostly you will go here for south indian tiffin. Recent days, QUALITY of the tiffin has REDUCED. QUANTITY has REDUCED. But one thing increased which is the PRICE. Just think why would you go here. The food is definitely not nutritious. Its almost closer to junk food. Full of oil, salt and some grains. Even burgers make sense and cheaper alternatives. DONT FORGET TO WRITE A REVIEW OF ALL THESE GUYS WHO POSE THEMSELVES AS INDIAN PURE VEGETARIAN RESTAURANTS AND SERVING JUNK.

  Adyar Cafe: Amazing food… questionable logic. Let’s start with the good—because it’s really good. The Saturday breakfast buffet for $16 is a steal. Authentic South Indian flavors, fresh, delicious, and absolutely worth the visit. Now the part that makes you pause. They automatically add an 18% gratuity… on a self-serve buffet. Let that sink in. You: • Walk in • Stand in line (line that makes you hesitate for a second plate) • Serve your own food • Carry your own (paper) plates And still get charged a mandatory 18% tip. Not for a large party. Not for table service. Not optional. Just… because...when I asked why, the response was: “It’s built into the system.” That’s not a system issue—that’s a policy decision. More over they use a digital swipe system not the traditional receipt. Unless you ask for a receipt you don't see it. Seems naively deceptive !! Tipping is meant to reward service. If customers are doing the work, calling it “gratuity” feels misleading at best. Bottom line: Food = 5⭐️ Policy = 1⭐️ Go for the food—it’s fantastic. But be prepared to tip… yourself.
