  The place was underwhelming and clearly not an experience you would enjoy. the Servers wont greet you, wont ask how the food was or if you need anything. The service is really slow with food underwhelming to say the least. Filter coffee delivered after 30 mins was not hot. Dosa chutney had no salt and the quantity of sambhar you get in the compartment steel plate is a joke. Masala puri had green peas and lacked overall flavor and had pieces of panni poori sprinkled on top. Idlis were soft and the sambar was ok in taste (whatever the quantity was). Medu vada was decent. Servers need to be trained to be attentive to the customers needs. Overall the food is bland and medicore. Dosa wasn't crisp at all. I have much better south Indian food and i will suggest Malgudi or even Kaanchi as better value and taste.

  Our experience at Adyar was next to perfect!! The food was fresh, and the service was excellent. Sunanda’s service was truly outstanding—she was friendly, took our order perfectly, and recommended the best dishes, all of which tasted amazing. We had gobi, appam stew, thatte idli, paneer butter masala, and naan.

  The thali was wholesome, flavorful, and felt like a complete home-style meal. Every dish on the plate was well-balanced, fresh, and comforting. The staff were friendly and attentive, making the dining experience smooth and pleasant. Truly satisfying food and a place worth coming back to.

  I ordered 6 dishes, every one was OUTSTANDiNG. This food satisfies all the senses. Authentic South Indian Tamil dishes, delectable. Super-fresh ingredients, cooked on the spot, highly nutritious, brilliant flavors and colors. Best Indian food I’ve eaten outside of India.

  Ordered multiple times and even celebrated a birthday here . One time we had a pick up of few items and one is bisibelabath. When checked after coming home, realized that some white rice was mixed into it to make more quantity and making it bland and not at all edible. I took it back to the place and showed it to them. I rather want to hear that it is unavailable so that I can order something else or take it to another place for that day. It is very disappointing to realize this later in the evening and when thats the only meal Ive got (I live far from the restaurant). Told them it will be last order for now and not going back. This time they didnt offer that they will take the charge back. Person at the cash said that he will complain about the kitchen to the owners. Prior to this some days before in an another order, chilli bajji had raw dough at some bumped up places and when reported, they took back the charge on it I havent returned to this place after that.
