Every time I check in that I am there for a pickup, I get a notification from Instacart that says "we are looking for a runner". However, I always sit at least 10 minutes before I have to call to have someone come out. Today I had to go in to get my order. Meanwhile, I continually watch all the Giant Direct orders pull in to the parking spot, someone come right out with the order in a timely manner, and then leave while I just sit in my car. If you don't want to accept Instacart and only the Giant Direct, that's fine. But if you do accept Instacart, you need to start paying attention to those customers as well. I do the same process with Target and Wegman's and they are always out within a minute or two at most.

Items that were out of stock were substituted poorly…1 bottle of iced coffee in a different brand instead of 3 like I order, 20oz of raisins substituted with 6oz, and hazelnut creamer substituted with Italian sweet cream…just to name a few. In addition to the items I was notified were substituted, I also received two other items that are different variations than the ones I ordered. When living in Phoenixville we used giant pick up at least once a month for 2+ years with almost no substitutions or errors.

It is not customer SCARE, it is CARE. She was extremly rude and said to me as her customer “you are driving me insane”. Wow. I was amazed by her care. Clearly she could not handle that role, she called her store manager. I am giving zero review for the customer care associate however the store manager did an excellent excellent job with handling my query, I was super impressed. So the 4 stars are for the store manager and I took one of because of the customer Scare associate.
