I really try to be open minded and very positive when I review places but sometimes it’s just impossible. Custer service should always be a priority in food service. I’ve been in the food serviced industry for over 20 years and know what it’s like. My sons went to this McDonalds to get all the kids food. My oldest son is a grown man. Asked a couple questions about sauces etc and the manager came out very loud and obnoxious to see what the problem was. There was no problem. They tried to make sure they were getting diet sodas they asked for and her response was the machine does it so they’re right. Finally when they got home half the sandwiches were missing and the 3 diet sodas 1 was correct and the other two were plain water. How correct was the machine?? Will never visit this McDonalds again . Need to work on your customer service starting with your manager.

This specific McDonalds is abysmal. The order is rarely correct and if it is correct, it's poorly made (burger overcooked, nuggets stale, fries not hot). I only eat McDonalds a few times a year and for some reason I keep giving this location another chance (because it's convenient) and boy am I disappointed every time. I'm finally writing a review after my Double Qtr Pounder w/ Cheese was burnt, contained a bun and mayo - no ketchup, no mustard, no lettuce, no pickles, no onions. Look, I get it. Nobody wants to flip a burger and get paid $12 an hour, but come the hell on. This location is absolutely positively horrendous

I called the store to notify them of an issue with a door dash order, only to have the "shift manager" punt the issue saying I had to notify Doordash of the issue. Funny thing is that Doordash and its drivers have no control over the order or the contents of the bag as it is sealed when they pick it up. In pointed fact, it is McDonald's employees that screwed up the contents of the order, and passing that responsibility on to someone else is ludicrous. This also points to a bigger problem pertaining to responsibility and accountability. We need to go back to a time when restaurant and retail managers were all over 25, and had some demonstrated ability to LEAD a team and ensure quality of service. Not have the stores run by a bunch of pink and blue haired tweens who are still in high school, spending most of their shift scrolling Instagram, and who dont even know the meaning of the word "accountability". I said I would never become one of these sour adults, but this crap has gotten ridiculous. When this youth answered the phone, she didn't even say "Thank you for calling McDonald's in Emmaus, how can i help you... etc".. she said "yeah?".. I asked to speak to any store manager available, she said " that's me".. Didn't even greet or identify herself upon answering. I could literally hear her scrolling her phone as she talked to me, as she sure wasnt really interested in anything i had to say. Ridiculous! Im sorry, but things have gone downhill big time, and I am sick and tired of people doing the ABSOLUTE MINIMUM required of them, and still getting paid. When I was coming up in my profession, anyone who acted this way was quickly replaced, and nowadays they are all entitled little childish drama addicts who complain about unfair treatment and being "triggered" when asked to perform their duties admirably. Sorry, but McDonald's isn't paying you to stare at your phone all day. Its called work for a reason, and it's supposed to suck. Its called responsibility.. if you can't handle that, then go try and make your dime being an "influencer" and let someone else do the work you refuse to do.(although I think you'll be "triggered" a lot more from trolls and people who will tell you that you aren't as awesome as you think you are!)This nonsense needs to change. I work hard for what I earn, and I expect some value for the money I spend. (Don't even get me started on how a McDonald's hamburger now costs about the same as what you would get at an upscale burger joint or pub, while still being barely classified as food.) Sorry for the rant, but i doubt I am alone in this sentiment. I work in Healthcare, when I am on the job, I am accountable. When we make mistakes, people die. I am not saying everyone needs to approach their job with the same sense of purpose, but they should be performing it with a sense of duty and pride. We need to be removing and replacing the underperforming entitled staff with those who take work and employment seriously.

Every time I go to this McDonalds I get the same sandwich and every time they screw it up. Plain, extra cheese, add spicy sauce and they act like it’s such a demand. They ignore it constantly after asking me multiple times if that’s actually how I want it. Anytime I ask for anything different about my food they just blatantly ignore it do worse. I’ve gotten a sandwich with light onions and they put extra onions plus a type of onions that didn’t even belong on the sandwich. That’s just wasteful and ignorant. Go to the Macungie McDonalds.
