  Just wrapped up lunch. Had the lunch special beef burrito with added pico and sour cream. Presentation was excellent, it was packaged to go very sturdy and the restaurant was organized and ready for me. Quick service too. They beat the estimated time on their website. It was very good. I'm nervous trying places like this because often they will hide their lack of ingredient quality or lack of ability behind tons of salt and oil and condiments. However, I was very pleasantly surprised. The lunch was very well balanced. Rice was cooked very well, beans were good consistency. The beef was flavored well in the burrito and that's really the only salt I was tasting. And I'm very glad to have added the pico de gallo and sour cream. Both welcome additions at only an extra 50¢ each. Very fresh pico. I wasn't even expecting a bag of chips and salsa with my lunch and even that was really good. Chips could have been a little more fresh. They were either a little stale or the oil temp was a little off. Not a big deal, just a note. The excellent part was that they weren't salted heavily if at all. This let's you add salt or hot sauce to your dish without having to worry about how much sodium you're taking in. Oh and horchata. Also very well balanced. I was similarly afraid it would be overly sweet. But it was very balanced and refreshing while still being a little sweet. It let's the rice and cinnamon come thru. And finally I ate it outside on their patio space. Very nice furniture. Open area. Excellent place to enjoy lunch on a sunny day. Even being along a main road, the traffic noises and smells were not an issue. I'll be back.

  I’m not sure if I’ve left many reviews before but Castanedas is great. Love the food love the people! The empanadas are one of my favorites.

  Whether you go to the resturant or see the food truck out and about, this is a must go to spot. Great quality food and more than reasonably priced!
