Sooooooo if you grew up in a Puerto Rican household and come here looking for authentic Puerto Rican food.. you’re going to be disappointed. Frankly, I should have known that a restaurant can’t have all types of Latin food perfected. The atmosphere was nice and our server was also very nice. However, when I ordered empanadas, the inside of it was cold and the dough doesn’t come close to the what I expected. I came for one reason and that was my craving for a traditional pork mofongo. What I got was an averagely seasoned mofongo with just pieces of a pork chop around it in what seemed to be mashed potato gravy. Which is okay if that sounds appealing but for someone who’s grown up in areas that had tons of these types of dishes, I thought a recipe like that could not be messed up. I’m sure the Mexican food would be great here but if you’re looking for something authentic or a dish you’re very much familiar with, I would not recommend this place. The service was good like I said but the prices for the food you’re given when you expect one thing and get another is just upsetting. Long story short, I left and had to pick up more food just to be full.
