  Tropical Smoothie Cafe was a convenient option for a weekday lunch, and the online ordering process was quick and easy. My order was ready right on time, which I appreciated. For pickup, the store uses an unattended cubby system where you retrieve your own order. While efficient, I’m not a fan of this setup. It leaves room for orders to be taken accidentally (or intentionally) and raises some concerns about food being tampered with. I ordered the Cali Breakfast Flatbread and a Tropical Dragon Passion Smoothie with minor customizations, and both were prepared correctly. The flavors were good overall, but there were some drawbacks. The chicken in the flatbread tasted overly processed and had a slightly rubbery texture. The smoothie had more of an icy consistency rather than a creamy one, which wasn’t what I expected. Pricing is also on the higher side. With only $0.75 in customizations, my total came close to $18 for a sandwich and a smoothie, which feels above average for what you get. I didn’t interact with staff during this visit, so I can’t speak to customer service. Overall, it’s a convenient option with reliable ordering, but there’s room for improvement in food quality and value.

  I ordered from Tropical Smoothie Cafe through Uber Eats and had a very concerning experience. As soon as I opened my wrap, I found a piece of hair inside the food. This is a clear food safety issue and contamination concern. I immediately called the store, and instead of addressing the issue, I was told that no refunds could be given because a manager was not present. I asked if the manager could be contacted, and the employee stated that the manager advised me to file a claim with DoorDash, which made no sense since my order was placed through Uber Eats. To be clear, my driver was great. This issue is entirely related to the quality and safety of the food preparation at this location. Finding hair in food is unacceptable, but what made this worse was the lack of accountability and incorrect guidance when I tried to resolve it. A situation involving food contamination should be handled immediately and professionally, not dismissed or redirected incorrectly. Very disappointing experience.

  Be sure not to accept offers until right next to the scanner to redeem promotions/rewards, otherwise you’ll miss out! Thanks ladies, was not expecting my order to be done so quickly.
