My family's visit to this Safeway nearly ended in disaster, but the exceptional customer service saved the day!
We regularly shop here, and usually its a lovely experience. Unfortunately, fate decreed that this visit was not to be a happy one, in spite of the many beaming workers waiting in every aisle to toss products into my cart. Tender soul that he is, my son Braxton asked to wait in the car, as the grocery store is often too much for him, which is why I was so surprised to glimpse him running past the store through the front windows! I was about to go investigate when my attention was torn away by my daughter, Faighlye, who started bawling her eyes out from where she was riding in the cart! Apparently her account on the phone game Roblox had been hacked by evildoers, and she had lost all of the ingame currency that she had earned.
Suddenly I was confronted with a decision, console my daughter or go find Braxton, but thankfully, the Safeway staff made the choice for me! A helpful employee must have noticed my distress and rushed over to help. I explained the situation to him, and without delay he sprinted off to go track down my son! With that problem taken care of, I kept shopping while talking Faighlye through her grief, and eventually wound up at the deli. There was a man at the deli, his name I can't remember, it was something like Squeak I think, who came around the counter to console my daughter. He crouched down and put a hand on her shoulder, and told her that in the end, when we're dead and buried we'll all have the opportunity to play as much Roblox as we want in Heaven, which put a smile on her face. From that point forward, we continued shopping in total tranquility.
Eventually, the other Safeway man returned with Braxton, who, he explained, had been walking down Pacific highway unattended! We were shocked, to say the least, and my wife and I later questioned him in the car as we were driving away. Apparently he had seen a video on one of the social media apps about the detention center just above the Safeway, and went to go see the spirits trapped there. Suffice to say that this trip did not go as planned, but even so, total catastrophe was averted because of the kind, helpful, and outgoing staff who work here.
5 stars!
