I will not be shopping at the store anymore. My son who plays football from Oregon State is this straight a student studying criminal justice and studying to become an attorney within their store. Several times he was profile followed as a matter of fact he was followed, so obviously that they did not make any account to be discreet. I called the store to address the issue. I spoke with a male manager who was dismissive, sarcastic, passive, and Left me with one comment and silence on the phone. This tells me that this is OK by the management and it tells me that this has not the first time that an incident like this has happened I’ve been in the store many times and I have been assaulted to my face. I do not understand what the city of Wilsonville and the Chamber of Commerce have allowed this type of irresponsible racist behavior continue on with this particular store and its owner, but I am not broke And I plan to pursue this to the fullest so the culture that store could be changed because if you make a complaint like that to a manager and he is dismissive and passive that tells me that the management is the problem not the employees and I will not allow this to continue and I am going to do everything within my legal and financial power to remove this manager And to have the owner or franchise owner or corporation take responsibility for the lack of compassion, respect, and professionalism of the people in their store

I purchase 1-2 online pick up orders per month with Safeway since having my baby a year ago and it’s just easier to grocery shop for me. My store of preference is the Woodburn location, they never have messed up my order. The past two times I decided to go to Wilsonville for pick up Orders they messed up my orders by forgetting very important items. The first time they missed my Hawaiian rolls and we were supposed to be cooking pulled pork sandwiches that night. The second time they missed my #1 birthday candle and so my baby did not get a candle at her first birthday party, even though we paid for the items and they were marked as picked for the order we have been disappointed shopping here by not receiving them.
What finally drew me to leave this review and not go back to this location was when I stopped in to do an even exchange on coffee that I bought for a different flavor. Unopened and I showed my receipt, but the lady working didn’t want to do an exchange and said I had to go back to the Woodburn location where I bought the original coffee. I have never heard of having to do that, Ive worked in retail for 15 years prior. Worst customer service and total waste of time. I should have asked for a manger, but I had my baby in the car with dad and didn’t want to take too long. Later yesterday I went to Woodburn location and they were quick, efficient, and so friendly to process my exchange.

Today was my first day experiencing the the Wilsonville Safeway, and it will be my last. Because other stores were unavailable , I chose the Safeway to rent a Rug Doctor carpet cleaner. Initially, Tammy was nice, but the process took a long time and I received a filthy machine. Despite her attempts to clean the brushes, I had to clean the brushes and both tanks before feeling comfortable using this to clean my home. Additionally, the attachment hose, which I paid for, was inoperable and leaked all over my floor.
After finishing my cleaning job and cleaning the product beyond how I received it, I returned to Safeway. No one was at customer service, and after asking an associate for help, I wanted 23 minutes for a manager to arrive to help me. This was after asking him to be paged again at 15 minutes. When he finally arrived, the manager did not ask my name and tried to check in a different persons rug doctor (which I corrected him twice). He then threatened a cleaning fee despite me telling him this was much cleaner than how I received it. Additionally, he refused to refund the amount for the attachment, insinuating I didn’t know how to work it.
Ultimately, he waived the cleaning fee, leaving me satisfied enough with the interaction. There are much better grocery stores available to Wilsonville and places like Fred Meyer treat their customers well. A 23 minute wait on a very slow Sunday night is unacceptable.
