It is not Safeway's fault that they cannot get enough employees. I understand why they have to close things early sometimes too. But when I buy something from the deli and it's not cooked, that is something that can be controlled. I brought home a piece of chicken tonight that was bleeding. I called up to talk to a manager, Cameron answered the phone. I explained to him that if I did not have a microwave-if I were going on a picnic, I would have had a raw piece of chicken. He told me to bring in my receipt and I would get a full refund. I told him I already cooked the chicken, and he told me it's okay, just bring in the receipt we will refund it. I also told him that I received half and half that was curdled in the past. Had I known this policy, I would have come back. This location is better than the Beaverton location. (Read review) I also noticed that their vegan items are cheaper. I appreciate being able to get sales on impossible Burger and Daring foods. They also have sales on gluten-free products. Yes I have a complicated diet. I'm actually a vegan. The chicken was for my dog's birthday. ☺️ Thank you for your good service because that is what I write about. Update 10/19 I found myself needing meat again for my dog, and there was no one to help so "Maddie" who doesn't even work in that section, got behind the counter and got me my order. She told me she was a vegetarian too, and she had never done this before. I told her I understand I'm a vegan but my dog isn't unfortunately. I was so impressed that she went out of her way, and ontop of that she told me she would do her best, even though she was disgusted. I'm 62 years old. I've had my own business. This is manager material right here. Despite the problems our country is facing with a lack of people to help. It's people like Maddie, that will ensure this store survives. Thank you so much!!!
- RBRj B.Sep 24, 20255.0Today I was at Safeway and I was at the self checkout after a long day and I just so happened to be 3 cents short on my purchase and was going to need to go dig through my car and pray I had it but out of nowhere a employee by the name of colyn I hope I spelled that right it was 9/24/25 at 5:20pm or there about he was the only one working self checkout came up and payed the difference out of his own pocket such a good human he said he was new and just wanted to help well bud you did that made my day I hope you go far at this store you definitely understand customer interactions and how to change someone's day for the better thank you.
