I visited Five Guys last week and accidentally walked into what appeared to be the culinary equivalent of a disaster relief operation. The staff were clearly working at the speed of light while simultaneously being responsible for approximately every burger in the tri-county area. Respect. The burger itself? Excellent. Juicy, messy, exactly what you want when you decide that today is a “two-napkin minimum” kind of day. There was also a heroic young man managing the mobile order station who appeared to be fighting a personal war with the touchscreen tablet. I don’t know what that tablet did to him, but the tension between them was palpable. Orders were stacking up like airport luggage during a snowstorm, but the crew kept pushing through like seasoned veterans of the fry-grease front. Final verdict: Great burger. Hard-working crew. Somewhere in the building, a mobile order tablet is probably still being stared down with suspicion. Would absolutely return for the burger and the live-action kitchen drama.

My wife and I love five guys. Unfortunately nowadays we don’t get to go out that often, but we’re excited on payday to get some burgers and fries. Online ordering seemed to be down, which was unfortunate. But we decided to wait inside anyways. The fries we got were cold, and there were no extra bag fries! We love to give fries to our baby daughter and five guys website talks about how thy always give that extra couple of scoops. Not this time. The burger was delicious, but the service alone just wasn’t what we were used to.

Zack is intentionally load from yelling Zack has arrived to just randomly being loud enough to cause alarm among customers. Honestly it's VERY off-putting.
