- JCJC CheckersNov 4, 20251.0Tillamook Safeway has went way downhill. Six weeks ago, thought it couldn't get worse. Last 2-3 weeks, it's a bloodbath. Have no clue why they're even a Safeway franchise anymore. They need to shutdown. Times are tough right now, but, really?!?! It's very dangerous to walk from parking lot to store. Then you get into store, and get excuses why everything is rotten. I.e. no produce manager, so ALL expensive salad mixes froze. Or all the frozen foods that thawed out and got refroze in water giant ice cubes, or no one in store knowing who to contact other than acting manager that was a new hire deli clerk 3 days ago. Evidently, deli dept was short staffed. Upon a new hire, mgrs stole?Then went to meat department because earlier, they had a few tenored people that could at least escalate issues. However I was told to please feel free to drive 3 hours north to their other Safeway if I really want to buy what I need. No manager escalation path. NO employees being guided trained. Absolutely NO ONE employed reads their weekly ad. Including customer service desk. I can't drive an extra 3 hours a week. Please,if you're staying open, take the time to train, guide your new hires. Or shut your doors, and throw a couple cases of Narcan towards your bottle drop area.
