  Pretty run of the mill Safeway. Ok selections of most items, fairly clean, fairly overpriced, but has what you need if not the best selection. Open late which is a plus. You will want to have the club card if you want any of their deals, as it's the only way to get a proper price, on that note many of their sales are online app coupons only so read the sales closely. Decent meat selection and fairly good produce quality as well. For a standard chain store they are not too bad and when you need something when the other stores are closed they are there for you.

  I live in Seaside and shop at this Safeway every week. I am almost 90 and each week I ask the bagger to not make my bags very heavy. I bring my own bags and have at least 12. Today a new young man bagged my groceries and put $198.00 worth of groceries in 4 bags. When I asked if he thought I could lift them, he said I should be able to. When I got to the parking lot, I could barely lift them out of my cart and had to stand there in your lot, changing my groceries from 4 bags into 8. What a disappointing service event from my favorite grocery store. If it happen again, I will be forced to go to Fred Meyer.

  We love the Chicken and JoJo's. They are our go-to camping staple. Sounds funny, but the breaded chicken makes a fancy Chicken Parmesan and the JoJo's make a burrito extra special! Ok, the quality isn't always reliable and top notch, so I take one star, but when they're good, they're good!

  I bought a vegetable spring roll that was ok but a puny little thing I paid 1.50 for 4 bites tiny scrawny then I asked if they could put some more icing on the cinnamon rolls that are so scimpy there is none why bother and said corporate said no more that was the first time I asked here so other people have had to ask also is it too much to have some frosting on your cinnamon rolls it must be too much to ask for and do that what is the problem it is of their own making just to aggravate people is that the cause? So I left and I won't be going there again and told them other stores still help me with a kind courteous smile and are glad to be of help and service like it's supposed to be not so stiff and stingy and unhelpful making the customer irritated and in a bad discouraging mood. And another store with much more courteous customer service said some people don't like a lot of frosting on their cinnamon rolls so it's ok to add some more for people that want more what thier doing makes no sense at all and maybe they should listen to when the customer is always right they must have forgot about that maybe the corporate needs new management. I should have took a picture of those pathetic cinnamon rolls with barely a streak of frosting they should be embarrassed by their product it's embarrassing for them as a customer to have to see it.

  So unfortunate that no leadership or accountability. Bottle bay attendant young boy neither machines shut down not working. Watched me walk directly past him with bags of cans. Never to say machines are not working. Subsequently in the store I see him slow walking down aisle #4 on his cell phone. Light are on but nobody is him. Note this was at 6:08 pm. I'd have is ? In my office holding him accountable. Management starts on the floor. I'd like to continue shopping wonderful store. Not see more stores close due to profit loss by dead labor and other entities.
