I have been using Safeway as my pharmacy for about a year. However after dealing with the pharmacy at this location I'm planning to transfer my Rx's to another, non Safeway, pharmacy. You can rarely get anyone on the phone. The line for in perspn drop off is, apparently, always at least three deep. The wait times are long and once you get assistance the attitude from the staff is not very pleasant. I showed up at 9am twice now and both times I was first in line. They say they open at nine. What they must mean is our employes start their shifts at nine am. So, they open around 0915. I was waiting there the first morning I arrived at 0900. At 0912 a man came out and told me I could lean against the counter. I was leaning, solely because I'm disabled and I didnt see anywhere to sit while I waited. I tried to explain that if I dont lean on something I will fall over. If that happens I'll probably need medical transport to the ER. The man didn't seem to care and repeatedly "you can't lean there. "
This is the last time I'm dealing with Safeway Pharmacies. I've had problems in several pharmacies over the past year.
Next month I think I'll switch to Walgreens, my mother says she never has this type of service at the Walgreens she uses.
And, fir the record, I dont think these issues are the fault of the staff. I believe corporate has set the hours each employee works. It's not the employees fault if the place is supposed to open at 9am and no one is scheduled to arrive until 9am. And they should have more employees overall. Everyone looks over worked. I'll bet they're under paid as well.
Just completely fed up with trying to use Safeway as my pharmacy.

Great store great food whoever does there buying really knows what they're doing. Their food is top-notch all the time. They're meat their produce bakery everything. Very well done. The checkout people are very friendly. They're security people have a lot long way to come to understand professionalism with customers. And their store keeps closing 15 minutes before closing time The doors actually locked and they're pushing people out It's very nonprofessional. I actually had one of the cart people tell me to get out of the store lady. I was absolutely flabbergasted. He later apologized outside when I was getting in my car but still. I hope they can get a handle on this because it really is a great store. A little bit expensive but their products are the best.

Stopped at this Safeway to pick up a package of Hormel Salt Pork and didn't see it in meat section, so a guy came out from the butcher shop area and he had no clue what Salt Pork was. And he was from the butcher shop. Really? Not a clue. He looked at me like I was speaking another language. I went to Roths. Problem solved.
