- DMDesiree Metcalf3 days ago3.0There is a lot of nice workers at the Safeway off of center Street and a lot of good prices I really like their app the problem I have is their store smells of drugs and their cashiers smell of drugs and it makes that whole area of the cashier overwhelming and it doesn't help with the high schoolers and homeless people that come in that also smelling like drugs center Street Safeway is very overwhelming to walk in sometime because of the smell on the people that work there.

- CWChristopher WebbDec 10, 20251.0I went to get a sandwich from the deli at the Center st. Safeway 12/10/2025 at 2pm. The worker was an old lady with glasses and her name tag was flipped backwards. She was incredibly rude to the customers before me and then to me, despite us being friendly. I asked for a type of bread they no longer serve and she looked at me like I was asking for her to strip naked. She proceeded to argue with me about its existence but I used to work at Safeway years before and apparently since the last time I ordered a sandwich it’s been discontinued. Not a huge deal, but by god her attitude and demeanor would get anyone fired at any other job. She made it apparent that she hates her life and doesn’t want to be there. On my way out after I paid I saw and heard her jump down another employees throat and snap at her for asking a question. One of the meanest people I’ve come across ever, let alone at a grocery store. She’s a toxic employee and the staff and customers would be better off without her.
