    So I had a couple bottle redemption slips. Last time I came here the lady running the self checkout told me I could use them and she sold me my item. She was great. Today I came through, only had 2 items and didn't want to wait in a giant line for the normal lanes so I thought it shouldn't be a problem going through self check out again... but this time when I asked the guy he was quite rude. I guess my mistake was asking it like I didn't know that he could, because he looked at me and gave me a one word answer"No" and then walked past me to talk to a different customer. No apology, no explanation, just "No". Then ignoring me, because he simply didn't want to. I absolutely hate being treated bad by people when im always courteous and polite. The only reason I'm not giving 1 star is because the other employees were better than this rude guy. I hope who ever reads this realizes that if he's treating me this bad, for no reason, then it's VERY likely he's rude to your other customers as well. Unfortunately most people don't speak up and bad employees with chips on their shoulders generally get away being like this because they only treat people like this when they know the bosses are watching. It was on December 11th at about 3:20 this happened. I sincerely hope someone talks to him and tells him that EVERY customer is valuable, and if he doesn't want to be a nice, respectful person then he should choose a different career, because people like this really effect whether people come back.

    I moved to the West Coast about 6 months ago and had the pleasure of meeting Robin and Lorna! These women are kind, patient, caring, and especially knowledgeable about Safeway’s sales and how to navigate their website. Robin took the time to show me how to use the Safeway app on my phone & Lorna reinforced what I had learned the following week. I look forward to seeing them while during my weekly shopping because they always greet me with a warm, friendly smile. Thank you, Robin and Lorna for always making me feel so welcomed!

    Have had great service from the floral department to find enough lilies for our wedding. They not only had them in a bulk box and let us sort through them, but provided two free buckets from the bakery and lots of plant food! The floral department manager did a great job!! Speaking of the bakery, I had an excellent experience with the bakery in ordering a wedding cake. They had an efficient process, were very good at communicating what they could do and the time frame to get it done. I'll see the finished product soon and will post an update then. And will post more pictures too.

    Praise for Tyler M. in the Deli at our the Roseburg Safeway. My wife and I stopped in late after a very long, exhausting day. He was obviously at the end of his shift with a heavy workload, but he still had a great attitude and was incredibly accommodating. When we went to grab a couple of premade sandwiches for a quick dinner and found they were out, Tyler didn’t hesitate. He went above and beyond to make us fresh ones on the spot, even though it meant interrupting everything he was already trying to catch up on. Tyler M., thank you so much for your dedication, your work ethic, and the way you consistently put the customer first. You absolutely deserve praise. I truly hope your supervisor sees this and understands how valuable you are. Thank you again — we appreciate you more than you know.
