- SHShauna Hirko4 days ago1.0I am at this Safeway at least 3 or 4 times a week and have never had an issue till last night. I get off work late and head straight to the deli at 8pm to get my sons sandwich meat sliced up for him and there was a gentleman cleaning the slicer and completely ignoring me...then finally a woman approaches and explains the slicer is being cleaned and they are no longer slicing meat...which is confusing to me bc the store doesnt close for another hour. I completely understand that the machine takes time to break down and clean but there are 2 slicers and you still had an hour before closing. Also...the new self checkout is a mess, and I only say that bc the placement of the line has a more limited view of which checkouts are open so you are at the mercy of the attendant who last night was cutting up and cursing and laughing with the cart attendant and not paying attention at all.

He was in a play, and I knew candy would be better than flowers, but the store didn’t have any candy bouquets. Delilah saw me looking around and asked how she could help. She went out of her way to make me a candy arrangement. She even went thru the store to find me—as her shift was ending soon. She wanted to make sure I had it in hand. I am so very grateful for her. The candy bouquet was hit for opening play night! Thank you so much, Delilah at Cornell Safeway! I hope this review finds its way to you. And I hope the company knows what an awesome employee they have.
