  Incredibly friendly staff, and absolutely delicious Po boys at pretty reasonable prices. Absolutely recommend coming here to anyone who enjoys soul food!

  Food was a seasoned well, however my redheads and rice was cold. Other than that it was pretty good overall.

  Wow, this place has some great comfort food. Went in for a fried catfish po' boy and it did NOT disappoint. Generous piece of fish on a sturdy roll with just the right breading and seasoning. They offered some add-ins for a modest upgrade price ($1.75?) and they made the whole thing perfect. Friend had the fried chicken and fish platter with mac & cheese. We agreed it was the best mac & cheese we know of in Portland. I couldn't identify the cheeses, but they were well combined into an elevated experience. There was no oil separation, so they know their way around a bechamel. The blackened catfish was so good, I may do the blackened catfish po' boy next time instead of the fried, but such decisions can't be made ahead. They updated the space since last time I was there, and it is a comfortable little bistro very reminiscent of the little cafes you find outside of the French Quarter, with deep red walls, framed portraits of notable luminaries, and plants suspended from the ceiling. If a trip to New Orleans is off the table, get a table here.
