  I love La Arepa! I've been a loyal customer for many years and ordered the whole menu. Everything is delicious! The location is beautiful, there is also a regular bar, a cocktail bar, a kiddie play area, and a game area with eight pinball games and two classic arcade games. There are multiple TVs showing sports. There is also an indoor area that is dog-friendly. It's a great space for singles, families, and large groups. This is one of the best spots to hang out in Portland! The photos are the Arepa Pabellon and a Zoiglhaus IPA. I added the salad / cole slaw and avocado salsa.

  We arrived to wait for our order to be ready, and there was nobody in the restaurant. After almost 10 minutes, we had to call the second location because no one was answering the phone at this one. We then found out that the person working there was a man who had been asleep in a chair. After the staff from the second location contacted him, he went back to preparing our order without washing his hands or wearing gloves. He constantly touched his glasses and directly cut the avocado with his bare hands. I have been there a few times before and the food is usually very good, but after this experience, I don’t think I will be going back. This is the first time I have seen a situation like this, and I hope it was just a one-time incident.
