Located in the Pearl District, this grocery store sits in a pleasant, well-kept area that makes quick trips or regular shopping easy and enjoyable. The store itself is clean, organized, and convenient to navigate. With discounts and coupons, it becomes an affordable option for the neighborhood. A standout perk is the on-site parking garage. Parking is free, and the one-hour validation gives shoppers plenty of time to grab what they need without the usual stress of downtown parking.

Safeway always has great deals. I'm really getting into their "just for u" mobile coupons. So easy to go through the app and select the things that you frequently buy anyway and see them go super inexpensive.

It's a Safeway, so the management/hq has decided to rely too much on self checkout, but drive up is always staffed by delightful people Like Chris. Never had any issues with anything Chris has picked for me; no moldy fruit or veggies, everything always cold as needed. Chris is not the only one who is absolutely stellar, but I am ashamed I cannot remember any other name at the moment. The lovely person with perfect eyeliner is always pleasant to interact with, and I have no complaints about their work either.

I assume it’s cause of the near by homeless shelter but homeless or not to make every single person go through the only check out ever open in the mornings is bullshit Also it took 20 minutes before someone reluctantly gave me the bathroom code after purchasing things and asking multiple employees who all said they don’t have the code Also this location refuses to give any paying customer any utensils for any reason after they say that their deli is closed, which closes much earlier than the store. It doesn’t matter if the employee is already standing behind the deli counter, closing of the deli literally right next to the utensils they will go sorry it’s close all condescendingly and not give you a utensil. And if you take two steps behind the counter and grab it yourself, you will be kicked out of the store and unable to purchase whatever you were trying to buy for stepping behind the counter, even if you don’t do that, but you’re with somebody that does that you also get kicked out of the store and are not able to spend your money at this location

My experience at this Safeway location was extremely disappointing and came across as discriminatory. Two employees stood and watched me without offering any assistance. Another staff member informed me they were short‑staffed and would help me within five minutes, which I understood. However, no one ever returned to assist me. Eventually, one employee told me she would help and asked for a moment, but then went into the office and remained there for an extended period of time. If staff are unable or unwilling to assist customers, that behavior should not be directed toward individuals who are simply trying to use the store’s services. Regardless of how busy the store may be, customers deserve basic respect and professional customer service. The treatment I received was unacceptable, and I would not recommend this location. The management also appeared disorganized, which contributed to the overall negative experience.
