Take my money. As a first time visitor of Portland I was craving some creole inspired food with the gloomy weather and Andrea and DeeDee sure didn’t miss. Initially ordered through Uber Eats but was met with a warm smile and “the food is being made with love “ invitation, I actually dined in and the ladies kept me company with great conversation and the Chicken and Waffles were a hit. And they even had sugar free syrup although you want need it for these waffles. Great location and can’t wait to go back

We visited Portland last week and stopped here to eat our new year black-eyed peas and let me tell you, this place is fantastic. This restaurant is family-owned and run by the sweetest woman. From the moment we walked in, we were treated like just like family, which was so refreshing.
The food was incredible, let me tell you that lady put her foot up in that food, it was made with nothing but love and soul. I had the catfish platter with collard green soup and mac and cheese, and my boyfriend had the jambalaya pasta. They even packed our meals in to-go plates so we could take our leftovers with us, which was such a thoughtful touch.
Portland isn’t really known for soul food, but hands down, this is the best place to find it out here. The vibe of the restaurant was comfortable and authentically “old school”. Right down to the Anita Baker playing in the background and the full on hot sauce selection. It truly felt like I was eating at my auntie’s house.
I could not recommend this place more. YOU NEED TO COME HERE!!!! 10/10

10/10 first time experience. Reasonably priced (although i wish the boudin links came in sets of two). My fiance is from texas and it made his southern soul very happy! (boudin balls just weren't battered in the way of our personal preference)The atmosphere is great, makes you feel like you're at your aunties or cousins for dinner. Theres the sweetest lady that works the front. Wish i could've took a picture of the crawfish Alfredo bread but we devoured it before I got the chance!
