  I don't know what you're waiting for... GET HERE!!! This is some of the BEST Indian cuisine I've had in Oregon. Soooo good on every level. Service was very pleasant and accommodating. I was dining alone and didn't want to sit in the middle of the room in the smaller tables and they were so nice and cleaned a table in the corner for me. Also, GREATLY appreciated is the clearly marked GF, DF, and Vegan options. They have GF Naan!!!! 🥰🥰🥳🥳 There's a For Sale sign on the lot, and I'm sooooo hoping it is not for the business as a whole and that they aren't leaving Newport. I'm so full and so content! The portions look small, but don't let that deceive you... it is a significant amount of food in a small package. Beyond happy I came here tonight! Admittedly, with a drink, it can get a little pricey, but very worth it.

  My husband and I had a wonderful experience at this place. The food was well priced , very tasty and there a few great plant based options for us. The staff was so lovey and nice and the decor was super nice. Its definitely a diamond in the rough. Highly recommend!

  My family and I were passing through on the way back to Seattle. We had lunch and then went to bayfront for the day. We all got food poisoning later that day we had to spend the night in Newport as we did not want to be on the road with food poisoning. Well, I ended up getting two rooms when one would’ve worked, but we did not wanna have both bathrooms occupied at the same time if someone else needed to use one. We had to take my little one to the emergency room for severe dehydration.

  Having spent most of my life in India and then a considerable amount of time in California, my constant search for good food here has, overall, been disappointing. There are certainly some good restaurants, but most don’t even meet the baseline. So, while I was driving through Newport, my expectations were low—but oh boy, this place was a pleasant surprise. First, the ambiance was amazing and somewhat reminiscent of what restaurants in India actually feel like. The service was excellent, and both Simer and Sandeep were incredibly friendly and helpful. When we asked Simer what we should try, he suggested the korma. Now, the korma alone made writing this review worthwhile. One of the reasons I dislike most Indian restaurants here is that they rely on a generic chicken tikka masala-style sauce, which is often too sweet and lacks sophistication. Or they make it “spicy” in terms of heat, not flavor—a thin line, but a very important one. Long story short, the korma was delicious. So were the paneer kulcha, chili naan, and kachori. A very unexpected experience right off Highway 101—highly recommended.

  Great place to stop on the way thru Newport. It might not have the fab views of the ocean or bayfront, but the food is delicious and the service is friendly and helpful. I really appreciate the menu listing gluten free, dairy free and vegan options. So many yummy options to choose from. They even have gluten free naan!!!!! Comfy booths to sit in, bathrooms to the right of the bar, parking in their lot out front, cricket on the tv. What else could you want?!?!
