When I recently visited this location, staff was reluctant to do their job, in a slower part of the day. I was in self checkout, and was making a purchase of cold medicine — because duh. everyone is sick currently. The machine flashed because I was purchasing OTC medicine, and the representative, “Alex” rushed to help two males, when my light was flashing first then left leaving me to wait for a prolonged period of time, and to search for help elsewhere. I returned to my items to find him questioning me, “Where were you? i’ve been here waiting” that gaslighting response was extremely unprofessional & a bold faced lie. I responded with, “”no, you weren’t” but here’s my ID.” he then told me verbatim “i needed to calm down, or find somewhere else to shop if i don’t have patience.” At this point, it escalated & the employee said more out of line, out of context things & when i shared with a “supervisor” they clearly didn’t care. I will make the extra drive to Fred Meyer. they have better prices anyway!

That being said, I have had multiple occasions to interact with the management, and MANY TIMES I leave feeling like I am an inconvenience and treated horribly. If it was once or twice, I could ignore it. But come on. Treat us like we are important. The open hostility and disdain is not acceptable. Yes, I am old and sometimes confused, and I need assistance. At least pretend like you care and are thankful that I shop at your store. I hope that your company teaches you how much a lifetime customer is worth, and what it costs to lose customers because of rude behavior. Some patience and appreciation would go a long way.

I went to Customer Service to get cigarettes and there in front of me was an angel employee. Her name is Misty P. She boosted my spirits and gave me great advice and made me feel so much better. She took time to talk to me for about 15 mins. I'm sure she had other things to do but she took time with me. She is an amazing human with an obvious true genuine heart and soul. She's compassionate and she cares. Not too many people that have Customer Service as part of their job that is like her. She totally deserves to be recognized and rewarded for her awesomeness. Thank you Misty P for boosting my spirit and self esteem. She is amazing.
