- SLSamantha LupoNov 4, 20255.0So this experience is a little embarrassing to talk about, but the employee involved deserves recognition. Last night, I was picking up food to feed my friend and her kiddo. I was trying to learn how to use the app without an order already being placed. The gentleman (I believe his name was David) told me, "no problem, I can walk you through the app, come on up to the first window." At the time, there was only one other vehicle in the drive thru with me. He asked me how my day went, and I had a wave of emotions hit me because I had just left work after a really bad and stressful situation. I briefly said something along the lines of work was hard, we talked about where I worked, and I swear the whole time he had so much empathy. I started panicking once I saw more vehicles lining up behind me, and started to have an anxiety attack. The WHOLE TIME he had the most gentle voice, reassuring me I'm okay and I'm doing great, despite us literally just trying to use the app and place an order. When he gave me back my card, he said "see? You did it! You made it!" That small act of kindness and understanding helped me snap out of my anxiety attack so I could safely drive afterwards. So please, if you are part of corporate, please don't just do a little shout-out or a free meal for this man. He deserves SO much more for the sheer amount of empathy he displayed.
