According to the Oregon Secretary of State's office, Birpal Johal owns JIPR, LLC which is the LLC trying to force the gas station in Carlton, and up until yesterday (11/17/2025), Birpal Johal was the registered owner and agent of JSNSBJ, LLC which is the LLC that owns Taste of India and other restaurants. Please see attached records from the OR Sec. of State office showing this to be true. My question for Birpal Johal is, why did you change the ownership structure of Taste of India 1 yesterday, the day after I was protesting out front??? Why don't you want your other businesses associated with the gas station development?? Maybe because your development plans for Carlton are toxic, nobody wants a gas station there, and the negative publicity you have and WILL CONTINUE to receive is going to have a MAJOR adverse impact on your other businesses. You can't hide behind an LLC, and TRANSPARENCY is a good thing. I think perhaps you have underestimated the level of commitment the Carlton citizens have in preventing your plans for a gas station in Carlton. I for one will be sharing this info with everyone I meet in town and inside the county- I will be singing this from the mountaintops, you can be assured of that. Peddle your lies elsewhere, the gig is up. You're not fooling anyone. Background: The owner of this restaurant is trying to build a gas station development in neighboring Carlton that nobody in town wants. It would completely ruin the charm of Carlton, but he doesn’t care. All he is after is money, which is also reflected in the overpriced, meager portioned, pretentious slop he serves at this restaurant. If you care about Yamhill County and small town values, AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!
