I can safely say that was the first time an employee of a grocery store was so rude to me I felt the need to leave a review. A middle aged guy who works in the back was so rude to me when I asked him where I was supposed to pick up my order I had already paid for. I can tell he’s just stressed but still, it hurt my feelings and I was the one who had to do the work anyways. But besides that, Jasmine in floral department is amazing. Truly a great employee so that kind of makes up for it.

Every time I have been here in the last two months I have clipped coupons that never go through. Then each time I point it out they act like I’m trying to scam them. It’s starting to seem like it’s a shiesty business not a mistake.

As far as what I needed being in stock I should give 5 ⭐️, but because of the nasty looks I got from not just customers but the staff. I am wearing boots, jeans, hoodie and an overcoat. This has only happened to me at this particular location on Williams Hwy in Grants Pass, Or. The other Safeway in town and the Albertsons’s have never acted this way.

I noticed milk wasn't fifo (first in first out) I asked a employee why if they knew what fifo was. They told me no, I told them well fifo is first in first out. They said oh the kids just throw it in there and don't really pay attention to that. Product all over the store is like this, fifo is important in the food industry especially our grocery stores. As a employee of another franchise, I am stating this to the general public so that you know the food quality is going to be sub par at best. The fifo system was put in place to make sure all products are sold and all products are placed priority as they come in, first in first out keep children from getting sick, it also stops recalls from hitting unlikely consumers before the recalls hit. This is simply because the food dates on example the milk, should not have decided 11,2025 December 13, 2025 and December 17,2025 next to each other in the cooler, instead it should be December 11,2025 , front facing to be picked first, next in line December 13, 2025, December 17, 2025. Fifo first in first out Food handler permit holders are required by law to practice this as it is a federal procedure. Just think they do this with the produce you buy which is why it goes bad so fast, not to mention why they have meat sales so frequently. Bagged salad is always slimy. Check the dates on the shelves expired items as far back as 2018
