- JBJamie Boe3 days ago1.0I've been shopping here for 7 years! I was in a slow moving line this morning at around 7:45am. For some reason they had 1 cashier, and self checkout was closed off. The line was full of people that needed to be somewhere, and the Manager came out to give the cashier quarters before trying to walk away. I explained the situation to him and he walked away and he disappeared into the isles without saying a word. Isn't the Manager suppose to help when it gets busy? Why wasn't self checkout open? Isn't self checkout designed for these situations. Typical snooty Management leaving their staff to the wolves and sacrificing good quality customer service. How embarrassing for them? Is it any wonder Safeway had to merge to stay in business? I have 20 years of customer service experience, so I know when the Manager is the problem.

Additionally, a loaf of bread I just purchased turned out to have a few small, live insects in it. On a separate note, the place is very understaffed. During the busier hours, the lines stretch down the aisles as they do not employ enough people at the registers.
