I am surprised to say that an employee yelled across the store loudly to "Keep it down in here!!!". Clearly a pointed remark at my 1 year old son who was happy squeeling and babbling as we enjoyed some ice cream. My older child started crying as we packed up to leave, confused as to what was happening. It didn't feel like there was another choice but to leave considering my 1 year old doesn't have the ability to understand a direction like "quiet down". Eveyone else in the dining room was smiling in our direction and I had no inclination that he was causing a ruckus. Nevertheless, I wish I would have gotten this employee's name so I could report her individually. There's a reason we chose dairy queen (and not a fije dining, intimate, upscale food place) and now I have a pretty obvious reason not to return to this location, and to urge other parents of vocal children not to come here, so they don't have to experience the same discomfort my family did today.
