Poor customer service cashier was frustrated over a customer interaction in front of me. Once it was my turn I felt completely and utter rushed as if Betsy was taking it out on me. I spent $200. Only to be treated like crap. And get a measly apology over it Another time I was trying to get help finding something in the pharmacy area an associate couldn't help me. I complained to a manager only to have them tell me I should apply due to them being shorthanded..pretty poor customer service . Will be calling Safeway corporate as a result as well guranteed

Watch your For U coupons and advertised Sale prices. It seems the prices aren't always in the system right, and they ring up full price. Most items like that I only bought because of the sale. I certainly wouldn't have stocked up on them at regular price. So when sliced cheese is $1.49 I'll stock up. Then get home and realize I was charged $3.29. When you've bought ten of them it adds up pretty quickly, especially when you add the other discounts not given. Like the Buy 2Get 1 Free deals, those rarely get credited right. The employees could also learn to be a lot less rude in general, but especially when asked to correct prices. A couple are downright hostile about it, and I often don't have the energy to confront them about wrong prices. I think to myself, I'll go to customer service tomorrow when they're not so busy but never do. So literally hundreds of dollars of mistakes they get away with, and that's just me. How many people don't even notice the mistakes, or check their receipts until they get home. It's quite frustrating, and I expected a lot better from a big chain store like Safeways than to be scamming their customers. Shame on you!

I was very disappointed with the staff here and how they treated senior citizens. Very disrespectful. I will not be shopping here in the future.

I’m extremely disappointed with my recent experience at the Bend Safeway. I stopped in around 7 PM on a Saturday night to pick up a cake for my husband’s birthday, only to find there was no one working in the bakery. When I asked an employee for help, she told me there was nothing they could do because they had sent the bakery staff home early. It’s unacceptable that a major grocery store would leave an entire department unstaffed on a weekend evening—especially when people are shopping for celebrations and special occasions. I ended up leaving without a cake, which completely ruined what should have been a happy moment. Safeway needs to do better with staffing and customer service. This experience left me questioning whether I can rely on them for important occasions again.
