You have speed bumps — but clearly that isn't working. Drivers ignore them, speed over them, and continue putting pedestrians at serious risk every single day. This is not an exaggeration. Pedestrians in Bend, Oregon are regularly struck and seriously injured or killed in parking lots and roadways. An 80-year-old woman lost her life. These drivers are careless, inattentive, and have zero respect for the people around them — and the consequences amount to little more than a citation. That is completely unacceptable.
