  Hattie’s BBQ isn’t just good — it’s the kind of BBQ that makes you rethink everywhere else you’ve ever eaten. Massive shoutout to Luke Mason for absolutely dialing this place in. You can tell there’s real craft behind it — the kind you only get from someone obsessed with doing BBQ the right way. The brisket is stupid-tender with that perfect smoky bark, the ribs are the ideal mix of juicy and pull-off-the-bone, and the burnt ends should honestly be illegal. Every side hits, portions are generous, and the consistency is unreal — every visit is a home run. Pair all that with the vibe at The Cross-Eyed Cricket and you’ve got the ultimate Bend combo: elite BBQ, cold drinks, and a place that feels like everyone’s welcome the second they walk in. Staff is friendly, service is fast, and the energy is just fun. If you’re in Bend and skip Hattie’s, that’s on you. This is five stars without hesitation — the kind of spot you plan trips around. I’ll be back again and again.

  We popped in for a late lunch. Our server/bartender was Jackson. He was so kind and helpful and the service was amazing! Between 2 couples we had brisket, sausage, pit beans, smoked Mac and cheese, chili, elote dip and banana cream pudding. Food was excellent, brisket was pull-apart tender and the sausage was flavorful. Every side was wonderful and dessert was delish! Drinks were great and priced well. We definitely recommend Hattie’s!

  I never leave reviews, BUT… this is hands down the best BBQ in Central Oregon no question!!! Everything, the brisket, the mac, the service, absolutely impeccable.

  Hattie's knows how to do Central Texas BBQ just right. The brisket was perfect, a smoke ring that matched the flavors. No sauce required! The mixed plate allows you try all the meats, ribs, pulled pork, sausage and pork burnt ends that are the absolute best I have ever tasted. Everything was fresh and made with intention. All the fixins, coleslaw and corn dip, it was all flavorsome. Service was great, and the bartender was handling the entire house. We didn't get photos, but will be back there again soon.

  Bend has been in need of a place like this! Its about time!! I have no clue how you could be disappointed if your into bbq! Must try! Also love the decor..feel like your in texas! 😀
