Brewpub
Our original Public House has been a vibrant fixture of the downtown Bend, Oregon scene since 1988. Not only were our very first beers brewed here – think Black Butte Porter and Jubelale – but we quickly became a gathering spot for locals and visitors alike. While the beer speaks for itself through a total of 19 taps, our chefs also put the same quality and hand-crafted excellence into the cuisine. Our beer-centric menu features fresh ingredients, many sourced from local farmers, foragers and ranchers with whom the team has built strong relationships over the years. Most menu items are hand-crafted from scratch whenever possible, and several items are made with spent grain from the brewing process. Come visit us at Bend’s original brew pub and see where it all began.

Can you please change the Mac and Cheese back to how it was before? It used to be one of the best places in town for that and the new one is terrible.

We only had a beer and an appetizer but they were mouthwatering. We each were given a small sample of beer that was chosen based on the beer we ordered. My sample tasted heavenly. It was the miniature donkey dunkel. My main beer was the leapin dog which was also great. We tried the spinach dip. It was to die for. I can’t wait to eat it again. The flavor profile from the top gooey cheese layer to the actual dip was unforgettable. Staff were amazing. There is a cute little gift shop area near the front with Deschutes merch.

Decided to eat here on my last trip through Bend since I've enjoyed Deschutes beer and have not only stopped purchasing their products, I will never be back. Was seated promptly and then ignored for over 45 minutes. Tried making contact with staff, and everyone just kept their eyes down as if they had blinders on. Asked a server who was attending a table in the area I was seated and was told "that's not my area." Ultimately, I don't blame the servers since it was a universal attitude; what this shows is a deep failure from within management.
