Few items I usually get were a few cents more, but not sure if it's just because of the location, but I will continue to go here.

First of all, this is about the only store that can't order paper bags with handles (the technology exists. Other Safeway stores have discovered it). The last few times it's self-checkout ouly, with a grumpy guy that is really bothered when a customer has an issue with the machine. Employees on the floor actively avoid eye contact, and when we found one to ask a question, the guy pointed at his ear buds as in (I can't hear you), and kept walking. It's a shame. There are a couple people there (Jeff) that are excellent, but they are not a small minority.

I am now heading to Whole Foods for all of my groceries. I had already had to start shopping at WF soft some items due to quality issues at Safeway recently, but this is ridiculous. And having to clip online coupons for different discounts is a cumbersome marketing gimmick. I’d rather pay more for better quality and a pleasant shopping experience with decent checkout service instead of spoiled produce and rotten eggs I have to bag myself after a long day at the office.
